About the Author and Presenter:

Author Emily Kircher-Morris has dedicated her career to understanding and supporting neurodivergent kids and their families. Her experiences as a gifted/ADHD student, a teacher in gifted education programs, a mental health counselor for gifted and twice-exceptional children, and a parent of twice-exceptional kids have culminated in two books for educators and parents about supporting the unique needs of these kids at school and home. Teaching Twice-Exceptional Learners in Today's Classroom (Free Spirit Publishing, 2021) guides teachers on how to recognize and support twice-exceptional kids in the schools, and Raising Twice-Exceptional Children: A Handbook for Parents of Neurodivergent Gifted Kids helps parents understand their children and coach them to build the skills they need for success.
