Interested in starting a group?
Parent Support Groups are a safe place for parents to share their struggles, challenges and victories, ask questions and connect with other parents of gifted students. They're a powerful tool for sharing information and developing relationships, and realizing that there are other parents who have similar experiences.
We are looking for parents and/or teachers of gifted kids to lead additional groups for us. There is no monetary cost associated with starting a group, and no professional training is necessary - just a passion for helping other parents of gifted students! Gifted Support Network will provide a training session for leaders, group guidelines and curriculum, discussion topics/questions, and ongoing support. We ask that each group has a leader and co-leader to facilitate consistent meetings.
We're looking for groups leaders in the following areas of Metro St. Louis:
- Hazelwood School District
- SLPS District
- Parkway School District
- Wentzville/Troy/Warren County
For more information on starting a group in your area, please contact our Program Coordinator, Krista Brown at (636) 344-0036 or email her at info@giftedsupportnetwork.org.
