Educators who attend the event on April 18, 2023 are eligible to earn one (1) graduate credit hour through Lindenwood University. Information will be sent to registrants who attend and sign-in at the event. FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN: We kindly request that adults and/or interested older teens attend the speaker series events. |

Resilience: The Cure for Gifted Child Burnout

Gifted Child Burnout is one of the current topics being researched and discussed in the larger gifted community. Much attention is being given to the causes of Gifted Child Burnout. This presentation will review the multiple causes of the problem such as social-emotional pressures, academic pressures, the Covid pandemic, and asynchronous development. The cure for Gifted Child Burnout will also be discussed: Resilience, organization, and mindfulness. Specific, research-based strategies will be presented with their appropriate application and age-readiness.
